Location: Parc national du Mont Tremblant, Quebec (map)
Hiking: 4-5 km or around 2h from Lac Chat to Lac à l’Ours (4h in total)
Elevation: estimated at 565 meters or 1854 feet
If you are staying at Lac Chat campground or you have parked the car at the Lac Chat(panoramic video scene), on the opposite side of the Road 1 you’ll hit the larger trail heading for the hills. Soon after the trail will become more narrower even though trail is wide throughout and it’s maintained very well. The terrain itself is not very difficult to climb. Directions are well placed along the trail and on the intersections.
The region is covered with the mixed forest, deciduous–evergreen forest, so rich fall colors in the month of October stand out surrounded with everlasting green.

It seams at times that creeks and streams are ever present. Along the route there’s another lake you’ll come across.
