In the region were unearthed archeological artifacts dating back to Lengyel Culture 3,500 BC (locally know as Lasinjska kultura). Some of the artifacts from era are on display in the Krizevci Municipal Museum (link).

In old times homes were build from wood and clay with a thatched roof where dry vegetation, such as straw, was used before roofing tile was introduced in the building.

Rolling hillsides and meadows are producing crops, grape and are source of building material used since down of time by diligent hard working farmer hands.
