Quebec city is the home town to more than 500,000 of its inhabitants, while province of Quebec has approximately 8,1 million people (2016). Majority of citizens in Quebec city are French-speaking and have been among first European settlers who have inhabited area more than a 400 years ago (at the time this is written).
