Wake up Call to Spring
The Spring, if it would just start a bit earlier in Canada.
Even though first signs of it one can feel even in February or March, when a warm wind from the south raises air temperature above the freezing point, for a day or two, even longer lately, and melts at least some of the snow blanketing hills and meadows since at least month of December.
Probably everyone out there is also looking forward to those longer days that are in Spring slowly replacing long Winter nights.
Prolonged daylight in those months leading to Summer, along with the warmer air temperatures are the wake up call for dormant plants. Especially awarding to cycle of life are delicate blossoms of fruit trees, just as a number of shades of green that cover all of the plant life.
In the Northern hemisphere, closer to the equator trees blossom as early as late February and in March, but farther North from equator one is longer the wait.
Spring in Eastern Canada
Transition from Winter to Spring sometimes gets prolonged by the late April snowfall.
