Havana on video, Cuba
Just an ordinary day on the streets of Havana, of course, unlike in northern hemisphere, warm and sunny day in the late December and early January. Havana is the capital city of the Caribbean island of Cuba.
Despite of US sanctions, city streets are flooded with mostly European and Canadian tourists mingling around old Havana streets that are proudly showcasing five centuries of recent history, culture and architecture.

Havana left an impression of the city stuck in time, if judging by nothing else than by the number of American cars made in the 1950s. These days those kind of cars are representing majority of vehicles on the streets of Havana. Obviously, people of Cuba are very innovative when it comes to keeping those cars going with little they have, after so many decades on the roads.

At the same time, it’s much harder to maintain centuries old architecture of by Spanish build houses and buildings that once stood in all their glory. Despite of architectural charm going back to Spanish colonial era one can freely say that old Havana is in need of a fresh capital that would enable necessary renovations and preservation of its past.

Despite, visiting Cuba was pleasant experience and one just wishes to be able to enjoy Havana and explore Cuba as much Hemingway once did (hotel in which Hemingway stayed is also featured in the video), by spending more time on the largest island in the Caribbean (discover).
