Varadero on Video
Varadero was recommended to us as one of the five nicest beaches on the Caribbean (discover) and it did not disappoint, despite of what some of you may think about Cuba in general.
Situated on the north-west side of Cuba, on its Atlantic coast, Varadero is a nice quite town with a sandy beach stretching far outside of town, for approximately 20 km.
During the visit we stayed in one of the newly build hotels. Most of the hotels, villas and bungalows are build after the 1990. Unlike in some other popular destinations surrounding the Caribbean in Varadero most, if not all, accommodations are not rising directly from the sand on the beach, but there is a green space in between ocean and hotels, often well maintained parks or natural vegetation.
