The Big “O”, Montreal
Olympic Stadium in Montreal’s Olympic Park, in French Parc olympique de Montréal, also known as The Big “O”, was build for 1976 Summer Olympics. Magnificent and massive “O” shaped dome structure is accompanied with the tallest inclined tower in the world, 175 m. or 574 ft. tall offering a ride to the top via funicular.

One of the avenues in the neighborhood is named after Pierre de Coubertin, the father of the modern Olympic Games.

Montreal Olympic Stadium is accessible by car or public transit, bus or if you take Montreal metro it’s on Pie-IX metro station.

Biodôme de Montréal
The next door building was also constructed for the the Summer Olympic Games and it was used as a velodrome. Subsequently velodrome had been transformed into Biodome featuring flora and fauna from four ecosystems; tropical forest, the Laurentian forest, the Saint Lawrence marine ecosystem and a polar area that is divided into Arctic and Antarctic.
