Video – Village Historique Acadien
Village Historique Acadien (in French) or Acadian Village is a living museum of Acadian history & culture showcasing in more than 40 authentic buildings the life as once it was.
In New Brunswick, just as in Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, eastern Quebec and the State of Maine live French descendants of 17th century settlers to at the time region of Acadia. Acadians had/have their distinct culture and language.

Most historically significant event was their expulsion from the region by the British in the 18th century known as Le Grand Dérangement or The Great Upheaval. Due to their resilience in the aftermath, Acadians are building block of Acadia centuries later.
