Boldt Castle Through Fisheye Lens
As if it comes from a fairytale story, Boldt Castle located on Heart Island in the Saint Lawrence River is today a major tourist attraction in the Thousand Islands region of New York State.
The castle is open to visitors seasonally between mid-May and mid-October.

Probably most of the islands in the region, even the smallest, are often housing holiday homes, some of them being retreat for the elite in the late 19th century.
Canadian Visitors
On the Canadian side of Saint Lawrence river in town of Rockport (not far from Cornwall), The Thousand Islands in Ontario (map), visitors can get on guided boat sightseeing tours.
Some of the boat tours include a few hours long stop at Boldt castle so they are crossing the boundary in between two countries. If interested in that option make sure you have a valid passport handy.
